August's Monthly Meeting
Speaker – Eric Taylor - Chief Technology Officer at North America, Atos
Topic - Discussion on Cloud model shared responsibility. The presentation will overview IaaS, PaaS, SaaS cloud models and what customer are responsible for in each model. General concepts about cloud security will be explained, highlighting the current risk associated with data in the cloud and mitigating controls. An overview of the considerations for selecting mitigating controls will also be provided.
Eric Taylor is the Chief Technology Officer for the North America Atos Cyber Security offerings.
Prior to joining Atos, Eric spent over a decade in the defense space protecting critical assets from cyber-attacks. Eric is an IT professional with 20 years’ experience in Cyber Security. His current responsibilities include the overall direction of security functions associated with the Cyber Security Services and implementation task associated with the delivery of the “Atos Prescriptive Security“ services. Prior background in DoD and Defense Industry focused on Cyber Security, Eric was individually responsible for providing security architecture, engineering, and integration services to customers. Including the designed and development of the technical solution and functional security requirements of complex computer systems and technological solutions.
Eric also holds a long tenure as Certified Information Systems Security Professional as well as Offensive Security Certified Professional and over eight SANS security professional certifications.

Chapter Board Members to finalize the nomination committee for the upcoming term elections. The Chapter Bylaws require 5 Regular members to form the committee. Please contact a current board member if you are interesting in participating on the nomination committee or if you are interested in running for a board member position for 2020.
